Sam Lets Go Untitled-21A .jpg
Sam and Kirk McGee, an old-time duo, were pioneers of country music, playing on WSM's Barn Dance in 1926 and were 'regulars' on the Grand Ole Opry for over 40 years.

In the folk revival of the 1960's, they enjoyed a resurgence of even-greater popularity as their music, considered bedrock in the American folk tradition, was introduced to a new generation.

In the Spring of 1966, Sam and Kirk played onstage at the Ryman Auditorium. As usual, Sam brought the house down with his legendary guitar picking, cutting loose on a solo rag.
